Our daughter, Moriah Goode was shot and killed November 6, 2016, at 4:30 PM by Devon Freeman AKA Deno Cartel.
After being in remission for 3 years Moriah was gunned down while on the way home in her vehicle with a friend, Johnny Frank Brice. The bullets missed the intended recipient Brice and instead one bullet penetrated Moriah's left back, her left lung, and her heart.
According to Markesha Sloan, Devon Freeman's girlfriend only she, Freeman, and Brice were present during the shooting. Moriah was in the car with Brice.
According to Sheriff The bullets were shot from outside of the car Penetrating the car and striking Moriah.
Surgeons worked diligently to repair Moriah's heart but were unsuccessful as the damage was too extensive. Moriah always lived life to the fullest and saw the best in everyone. As a believer she always was passing along encouraging verses. She worked hard and graduated from high school at 16 and had earned enough money to buy her first car. She had over 64 hours of child care school credits and was due to enter EMT and then Paramedic training.
Moriah's murder is one of many. Sadly, The sheriff department is over worked and underpaid. Everyone is making sure the murderer's rights are protected. We want to hire a Private Detective to make sure Moriah's rights are protected and the truth is revealed.
Please help Moriah's family cover the unexpected private detective expenses. God Bless.
