In Memory of Detective Sergeant Mason Griffith

Detective sergeant Mason Griffith ended his watch on 3/12/2023 as he was shot and killed in the line of duty! Mason leaves behind his wife Jennifer, and his two sons Karson and Trevor.

Mason fulfilled his dreams of being a Police officer. He was the Chief of police in the town of Rosebud, Missouri, and the detective sergeant in Hermann, Missouri. He was loved and cared for by so many people within the communities he served.

He was a devoted father, husband, son, and friend! He had a smile that was absolutely contagious, and he had a love for caring for his community, and adventures with his family.

As one of the many people who cared for Mason stated-

“Mason was the epitome of what a hero is. He touched so many lives in his lifetime. He was a great father, husband, son and friend. His love for his family was matched by the love of his community. He protected people he knew and people he didn't, without hesitation.”

That is what we call a hero-

I went to school with Mason all the way up until we graduated High school together and a friend to both Mason and his wife Jennifer. He always had a bright smile on his face and was one of the kindest and sweetest souls you would ever meet. I am so beyond proud that he pursued his dream of becoming a police officer. Not only did he protect and serve, but he also contributed so much to the communities he worked for. He made such an impact on so many people, and that, we will never forget! He took on being a wonderful father figure and role model to Jennifer's son Trevor, and he and Jennifer then had their son Karson a few years later. One thing about Mason was- he was an amazing dad to two boys, husband to Jennifer, a friend to so many, son, a leader to the community and a police officer that gave everything he had up until his last and final breath.
