Jax suffered an anoxic brain injury at birth leaving him with severe cerebral palsy. He is non ambulatory, non verbal and has severe developmental delays. As he grows, it's becoming very difficult to lift and transfer him. He has already surpassed the maximum weight that his nurses are allowed to lift by themselves.
We are raising money to move and widen his bedroom door and install a ceiling track/lift system from his room to the bathroom, and also a separate track in the living room. This will allow us to get him out of the bed, it will allow him to be able to get into the bath, and it will allow us to transfer him safely to his wheelchair so he can spend more time with his family in other parts of our home. Jax loves being with other people and without this lift system he will be confined to his bed limiting his quality of life.
The money that is raised will cover all costs for labor and equipment. If anyone is interested we have an official quote that can be shared to whomever would like to donate.
