Detroit Dio Tribute 2018
Donation protected
The Detroit Dio Tribute is an annual live music event to celebrate the music of legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio. Detroit area bands and musicians are invited to perform music from any era of Dio’s career: Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Solo, etc. The event began as a way to celebrate and honor the music of Ronnie James Dio, after his untimely cancer-related death in 2010, and has continued as an annual event since.
Each year we raise money to help a local person with a cancer-related illness. The money we raise at the event is donated to a single individual to help give some relief to the financial burden during their cancer battle.
Participating bands for the 2018 Detroit Dio Tribute are as follows:
BANNED FROM HELL
EVIL PLAY
RAINBOW RISING
ROCK 'N' ROLL CHILDREN
THE BLACK DROPS
THE WHISKEY CHARMERS
ALIENSTORM
The event will be hosted by comedian Tom McCarthy
Our 2018 beneficiary is Lenny Earls, our music brother who is undergoing treatments for throat cancer.
Admission is $10 donation
