Devastating Diagnosis: The Surratt’s Need Our Help
Donation protected
Our very own GO teacher and friend to so many, Mrs. Lindsay Surratt and her family are in need of our help. With the permission of the family, we are collecting funds and all proceeds will go to the family to assist them during this unexpected and tragic journey.
On March 5th, the Surratt family received devastating news. Lindsay took her husband to the ER after increasing back pain that was believed to be a result of an injury on the job. They later found out that night that he had Cancer in his spine. This was never even on their radar. They have since learned that he has Lung Cancer that has metastasized into his spine, bones, pelvis, and brain. They are currently in the process of undergoing 3 weeks of radiation which will hopefully be followed by Chemotherapy. With the help of wonderful family and friends, they are muddling through this tragic journey. Lindsay asks for anyone who believes in the power of prayer to please pray for Martin's miraculous healing, her strength (and that of her mom and dad too who have been so incredibly supportive), and for her 2 young daughters Deanna and Savannah to be able to cope and understand.
Lindsay continues to work full time teaching, while continuing to balance work, family and the appointments have been quite a challenge. Martin, who is self employed is unable to work and as you can imagine this adds to the uncertainty, worry and stress while bills continue to add up.
Please consider any monetary donation as anything will help. Thank you in advance for donation, prayers and positive thoughts.
