Devastation for children in Burnsville

My sister and our family are devastated by the significant loss in the Burnsville community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the first responders, and all those whom were affected by this incident. Our hearts go out to all the law enforcement officials that were involved. My niece and nephews are safe today because of their heroic actions, and we cannot thank them enough for their courage and bravery.

Sunday, February 18th around 1:50 A.M, tragedy struck in an unforeseen chain of events.

Violent/horrific actions taken up against my family as well as the officers involved caused significant loss of the lives of the 3 first responders as well as substantial trauma to the children and severe damage to the household therefore, my niece and nephews no longer have a place to call home.

The kids are staying with family in the meantime, as they navigate their next steps to move forward and get back to their routines and some sense of normalcy. We ask that everyone please respect our families privacy during this incredibly difficult time.

Please consider donating to help my niece and nephews get back on their feet. The goal is for them to get back into a warm home of their own so they can grieve in private, replace transportation, start their healing journey via therapy, and get the kids back to normal routines and school as soon as possible. This fundraiser and any donations are solely for the children and the children only.
