Developing a sensory garden in Clonskeagh Hospital

Donation protected
On the 18th of August 2019. I am taking part in the 19th running of PARIS-BREST-PARIS Randonneur (PBP ) which is the oldest cycling event in the world,  first run in 1891 and today takes place every 4 years and covers a distance of 1200km in 90hours.

I am using this event to raise needed funds to support the Clonskeagh community nursing unit to develop a sensory garden for residents living with dementia. My father in law spent the last 4 years of his life in this nursing home and I have seen first hand the positive benefits sensory stimulation had on him and the improvement on his mood and his ability to engage with family and other residents.

A sensory garden has many benefits from stimulation residents, improving their personal health and well being and improving social interaction.

All donations will be gratefully accepted and no donation is too small.  100% of donations will go directly to the nursing home.
