Helping our family in Puerto Rico
Donation protected
As most of you know, Puerto Rico was completely distroyed by Hurricane Maria. This was the most catostrphic event to happen to the citizens of Puerto Rico and our island. 100% of the island is still without electricity and running water is very scarce. Supplies are very limited and the government is expecting 4- 6 months before they are able to have electricity and running water.
Many of you have reached out to us, asking what you can do or how can you help. We have decided to create this Go Fund Me page so that we can reach as many people as possible. We have family located throughout the entire island that have had major/minor damages, some of which have lost their homes.
We have had limited contact with our families in Puerto Rico due to the cell phone signal. The few we have spoken with are all in desperate need of supplies. So far, we have sent canned foods, tuna, batteries, solar powered lights, flashlights, and radios. The shipping charges have been very expensive.
We are asking for any help at all. The money will be used for non-perishable items, water, all batteries(in desperate need of D batteries), solar powered lights, toilet paper, other necessities needed, and most importantly shipping charges.
If you do not feel comfortable donating on here, you can drop off donations at Hampton Inn Gadsden(across from Gadsden Mall) or Rainbow Healthcare(located on 77).
We appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers and have been extremely moved by all of the support everyone has showed us during these trying times. Thank you and together we are stronger!
