Devonte Browns funeral service

On Friday, April 14th, Devonte Brown [29] just got home from grocery shopping. While bringing the groceries in the house he encountered an armed robber who then stole his car. Devonte used his other car to go retrieve the stolen vehicle. He found the car at dollar general in the parking lot, he tried to go get his car and he was shot twice in the chest. He was taken to Marymount and they airlifted him to metro, he died in the air.

We are all devastated and heartbroken in the wake of this devastating loss and act of hate and senseless crime. Devonte was just starting to turn his life around by going back to school and studying mechanical engineering. We were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Devonte the memorial he deserve(s), to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Devonte funeral. He leaves behind two beautiful children, a nine year old daughter and a seven year old son, a loving and caring mother, and brothers and sisters. Anything will help during this hard time
