Dewey’s Funeral and Memorial Services
Donation protected
Yesterday September 7, 2021 my best friends brother, Clinton “Dewey” Tomey from Waynesboro, VA suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Dewey was only 42 years old. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend who touched the lives of everyone around him.
Everyone who knows Dewey knows he was a fighter. He not only fought for his family and loved ones but he was also a Army Veteran who fought for his country for 8years, doing two Tours of Duty in Iraq, and was also a recipient of the Purple Heart. Like so many veterans today, Dewey suffered greatly from PTSD and did not have life insurance. While he is a veteran and deserves a Veteran’s funeral the funeral home has stated the family would need to pay for the services upfront and then contact the Veterans Affairs. The family has reached out to the VA but is still currently waiting on a call back.
Dewey’s family and everyone that knew him are completely devastated by his loss. His family does not have the money to pay for his funeral expenses so I am asking for donations in hopes to be able to help ease this financial burden for them. Please consider donating as any amount will truly help Dewey’s family during this awful and difficult time. No parent should ever have to bury their child, and a veterans family should never have to worry about how they will bury their loved one because of money. Even if you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser.
Thank You So Much,
All the family and friends of Dewey and his family
