Dexter needs emergency surgery

Tax deductible
Dexter lives on the small island of Exuma, Bahamas. He was hit by a car and suffered a broken leg. Gangrene is now noted by the vet, and there is nerve damage. Once nerve damage occurs, the vet says the puppy will eventually chew his own leg off. The best option at this point is amputation.

This pup is only 8 months old, and deserves a fair chance at a good life. He could do this and adapt to losing his leg, and live a good life. However, the cost of bringing the vet to the island for an emergency surgery is high for many on this small island that was locked down for much of last year. Local people are still struggling to catch up, and the cost of emergency surgery is a heavy burden.

The family needs our help to allow Dexter to have this much needed surgery. All donations are greatly appreciated and will help to eliminate the pain and suffering for this sweet little guy.

Friends of Humane Society Exuma, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charity. Donations are deductible per current IRS regulations.
