A few weeks ago, Bo and Donna went to the ER due to pains that Bo was having. It was determined that his white blood cell count was up and he had several enlarged lymph nodes throughout his body. This raised concern and he was admitted for additional testing that would be reviewed by an oncologist. He spent a few days in the hospital, met with an oncologist, and was released to go home while waiting for the results to come in and be analyzed.
On Friday, November 13, 2020, Bo was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. It is not curable, but it can be treated to help fight the spread and prolong life.
He is currently in the hospital again fighting pneumonia that developed from the fluid that was built up in his lung. Breathing is very difficult so they are watching and helping him around the clock. Once the pneumonia is gone and everything looks strong and stable, he will be released to go home.
Due to the advancement of his cancer and chemotherapy, he is immunocompromised and unable to work or be in public areas where he has an increased chance of contracting an illness or COVID-19. Doctors have urged that we take every precaution because exposure to any illness is life-threatening at this point.
Bo will begin treatment as soon as possible and he is ready to fight!! His attitude has been positive and strong for his family and he is still trying to make us laugh every chance he gets.
All of this has been shocking, devastating, and life-altering. Bo and Donna will be managing their current expenses, as well as, the added medical expenses that will come from his many appointments and treatments.
We ask that you help this family in their greatest time of need which is now. Their main concern should be treatment and managing Bo’s illness as long as they can. Please feel free to give as much or little as you want and can. All donations will go toward medical expenses and bills. Anything at this time is so needed and so much more appreciated.

UPDATE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN: The original plan of this campaign was to raise money to help support Bo and Donna through his treatments and hospital stays. Going forward, any existing and future donations will go toward the medical expenses that have already occurred and funeral expenses.
