Jerry was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, cherished uncle, brother-in-law and son-in-law to his family and friends. Jerry’s life was taken too soon. He passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2020. He married the love of his life, Susan, and was the father of his late son Jake and his daughter Sarah. He loved his friends, family, music, golfing (especially driving around in the cart to distribute adult beverages), and making people laugh. But, above all he loved the three most important things in his world--his wife and two children.
Jerry enjoyed donating his time to the Massapequa Community. He has coached a number of youth sports including T Ball, baseball, PAL lacrosse, CYO basketball and softball. Jerry performed stand-up comedy and did some joke writing for Comedy Central. He loved playing bass guitar with his friends while enjoying a glass of top-notch bourbon and a cigar.
After their loss of Jake in 2013, Jerry, Sue and Sarah opened a charity in Jake’s honor (JBMF). They worked nonstop on yearly fundraisers to provide scholarships for deserving Massapequa HS students. Through golf outings and comedy shows, with Jerry holding the reins, everyone always enjoyed getting together for this wonderful cause.
