Caitlin's Crusade
Donation protected
In June 2018 this beautiful soul, Caitlin Traynor, was diagnosed with Stage Three, locally advanced, triple negative breast cancer.
Caitlin is 32 years old, has no family history of breast cancer and has no medical history that would suggest this unimaginable diagnosis. Caitlin initiated an intense treatment plan which included rigorous chemotherapy, a single mastectomy, and 25 rounds of radiation. Her goal through treatments was to return to work in March 2019 after winning her fight against this horrible disease. However, just after Christmas 2018 Caitlin learned that the cancer has metastasized to her lungs and possibly her brain, before she even had a chance to complete radiation therapy. Her diagnosis is now stage four, incurable, triple negative breast cancer.
Caitlin has been told that the prognosis for patients with similarly aggressive cancer is 12 months.
Those of us who are lucky to know Caitlin know that her will to defy these odds is fierce, that her spirit is strong and that she is guided by love and gratitude in the face of this unimaginable fight to live.
Caitlin and her husband Eric have been together for 6 years and are celebrating their second wedding anniversary on March 17, 2019. When they met, Eric’s daughters Cali and Mackenzie were 4 and 5 years old. Caitlin is a loving and invested step-mom to Cali and Mackenzie who are now 10 and 11 years old and whom she has helped shape into the strong, brave and compassionate girls they are today.
The goal with this fundraising effort is to help alleviate as much stress from financial strain as possible for this beautiful family so they can spend their time prioritizing making lasting memories during the coming months.
Because Caitlin leads with a selfless heart she has asked me to let you know that she will be donating 25% of any monies raised to support finding a cure for triple negative breast cancer.
Thank you for your support.
