Raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity
I'm Ross Bradbury and I'm running the Robin Hood half marathon to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity and also to honour the memory of my Dad, David Bradbury. My Dad was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour back in December 2008, after an operation to remove the
tumour had failed my Dad was given just
months to live and on May 1st 2009 he
passed away, he was only 68. My Dad was the kindest and funniest person you could ever wish to meet, he had a big heart and
he gave everyone his time and would help
anybody who was in a fix, me and my
family still miss him dearly. I want to raise
money for this charity because I have seen The devastating effects this terrible
affliction has on a person as well the toll it
can take on the rest of the family. At times my Dad had crippling headaches and the medication he had wasn't to stop the pain it was to knock him out. I watched the strongest person in my life become completely dependent on me and my family and that broke my heart.
I want any money I raise to help familys that are struggling with the same diagnosis that my Dad had and hopefully one day they'll make a breakthrough through research and they'll be better treatments available. I've left this a bit late but please give what you can, all donations are greatly appreciated, hopefully I can make my Dad proud if I can just complete this run without throwing my guts up or doing a "Paula Radcliffe".
