DGC20: 'Discover Beauty in Everyone' Campaign

The Discovery Gospel Choir is on a mission to help Ireland and beyond discover the beauty in everyone!

STORY

We are a joyful gospel choir in Dublin made up of unique, beautiful individuals from all corners of the world and all walks of life.

For two decades, celebrating diversity, inclusion and belonging has been at the heart of all that we do. Since 2004, we have been bringing joy to the streets of Dublin and “discovering beauty in everyone” by bringing together diverse voices and celebrating unity through music.

Discovery Gospel Choir is a microcosm of all that is beautiful in the world: we are privileged the opportunity to discover beautiful language, harmonies, foods, perspectives and life stories from people who come from all different countries, cultures, ethnicities, careers, socioeconomic backgrounds and identity expressions. Nothing is more beautiful than noticing and appreciating the diversity of our members AS WELL as the common humanity we share. We support each other, and we are asking you to support us on our mission to spread the beauty of discovery throughout Ireland and beyond.

We are reaching out to you, our extended friends and supporters, to help us commemorate this milestone of 20 years of Discovery Gospel Choir in a special way. Our goal is to create an original anti-racism gospel single and a music video that captures our mission and the beauty of our community - past, present and future.

FUNDING

This year is our 20th anniversary. We believe in the mission of “discovering beauty in everyone” and hope to spread that message far and wide by creating something lasting. Our plan is to release a single written and composed by the choir as well as a music video to commemorate our past and inspire future generations to “discover the beauty in everyone” through the power of music. This single will form part of a wider fundraising and social media initiative which is designed to counterbalance the growing rise of racism in Ireland.
