Help Mary kick cancer’s butt!

Hi, our names are Melissa and Bliss, and we are raising money to help our dear friend, Mary. She recently was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. Due to the severity of this diagnosis, she will have to undergo 6 months of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. She will not be able to work full time during her treatment, which will be another challenge she will face.

For those who don’t know Mary, she is probably one of most selfless people we know. As a single mom, she devotes much of her time caring for her 6-year-old son, Niles, who has autism. He is the light of her life and Mary has been a pillar of strength navigating these challenges. She has never even complained once. Her dedication, advocation, and undying love for her son has led her to make many sacrifices in her own life. She now works full time in a school helping teach pre-k students. Obviously, this is not an ideal work setting for someone getting harsh chemotherapy.

The money we raise for Mary will go towards medical bills, travel expenses, day to day expenses (along with resources to help care for Niles) as she will not have income when she takes time off during treatment. We expect her treatment to last about a year if everything goes smoothly.

We love Mary- she is our third musketeer, our friend, our family. We hope you will consider making this battle she is about to face a little less stressful.
