Let's Get D&G Queerier Launched!

We are creating a queer magazine to help unite our fantastic LGBT+ community in Dumfries and Galloway!
Dumfries and Galloway is one of the largest regions in Scotland and has a huge queer population. Despite this, rural isolation can fragment the many queer voices throughout Dumfries and Galloway: it is one of the last regions in Scotland to have its own LGBT+ Pride event. As a result, LGBT+ community members often feel dispersed and alone.
We aim to create a space for people across the region to express themselves, as well as to inform them of events and opportunities they can access, to ensure LGBT+ people in Dumfries and Galloway become more connected and confident and have their voices heard.
The Dumfries & Galloway Queerier magazine will provide a platform for volunteers, of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, to develop skills and meet new friends. The magazine will create a more visible queer presence in the region and encourage LGBT+ events; slowly transforming Dumfries and Galloway into a hub for queer-friendly activities in the South of Scotland.
As a volunteer, community run, local project, any support we receive will be dedicated to creating the magazine: donations will go directly to paying for printing and launching the first issue. There will be a formal launch event held on the 21st of April. We hope to see you there!
Any support you give will leave a lasting legacy, changing Dumfries and Galloway for years to come. Any donations are greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small. We hope you'll consider helping our community to make Dumfries and Galloway a region we can all have Pride in.
If you would like to get involved there are many roles and we love new ideas, so please get in touch at: [email redacted] or follow us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/DGQueerier/?ref=br_tf
