Sadaqah Jariyah for our dear brother Mohamed Salah

To Allah we belong & to him we shall return. It pains me to be here again sharing the death of another brother. However, Mohamed’s story is one that has changed my life forever. I was 10 years old when mohamed came into our lives & ever since then we were inseparable. Mohamed was truly a gift from Allah swt. I loved him like he was my own child. Unfortunately at the young age of 11 mohamed was diagnosed with cancer & he had a long and lengthy battle with it. What makes his story so special to me is how someone so young handled something so serious with the most beautiful patience. I witnessed my brothers struggle and fight with cancer and not once did he ask Allah why this was happening. He never once complained. Mohamed’s iman was like nothing I’ve ever seen. For 7 years he was in and out of the hospital. He went through unimaginable pain and yet he still had a smile on his face. He still comforted us when he was the one suffering just so we wouldn’t be sad. I watched him wake up every night and pray to Allah for healing & he never missed a prayer even when he couldn’t physically get up. Mohamed never had the chance to be a kid, or enjoy the sweetness of life but what he did have was something greater. He had the love of Allah in his heart and used it to keep pushing. Im thankful to Allah swt for giving me a brother like him because i learned a lot from him. I will forever miss my brother & my heart will always ache for him but im happy hes at peace now. I pray Allah swt grants him the highest ranks of jannah & that he is comforted and in the company of the prophets and those Allah loved. I pray that hes in eternal bliss and happiness along side my brother omar & i pray that they are comforting each other. May Allah swt have mercy on those that have passed and may he grant shifaa to those that are suffering & may he swt comfort us all through our difficulties and give us a way out from them, Ameen. I plan to keep mohamed’s name alive and use this as sadaqah jariya for him. He was a bright kid who had a love for the deen & i plan to honour him and build something in his name. Allah swt teaches us that we will all be tested in this life, each person in their own individual way. ‎Allah swt says in Surāh al-Baqarāh; ‎{وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ} ‎"wa bashir is-Sabireen"and give glad tidings to the patient ones.
