HELP ME WITH MY DREAM

I am Sabina Osei- Boateng. Growing up in Ghana, it has always been my dream to get my education in America. I recently graduated from New Mexico State University with MA in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. Thankfully, I have been able to secure a life-changing job with one of the schools under Aurora Public Schools in Colorado. But I foresee losing this awesome opportunity because I owe a high tuition balance that has become an obstacle in accessing my official transcript which is one of the required documents for this teaching job position. I couldn’t honor this financial obligation because I am also the breadwinner of my family back home in Ghana, Africa. My father died thirteen years ago, and since that time I have needed to help with the needs of my mom who has not been in good health. Unfortunately, this has been hard. My Visa allowed me to attend the University but not earn separate income through a job. As a result, while I have been able to help care for my mom through the little I earned as a Grad Assistant, I have not been able to fully cover my tuition. So, I urgently need financial assistance in getting my official transcript which is now the sole means to my financial freedom in this coming academic year. If I am not able to secure the job, I may lose the OPT opportunity to get hands-on experience in my field of study. And I will have to return to Ghana and my ability to provide for myself and my family will be diminished.

I am therefore appealing to every generous heart to extend your act of giving to help me raise an amount of $2,200 to pay for the tuition balance. Additionally, in the course of relocating to Colorado, I will incur moving expenses of another $2800 to cover rent, deposits, utilities, a one-way flight ticket, and any expenses until my first paycheck. If you can help me, I would be eternally grateful. Any help you provide is also a help to my family in Ghana. My dream is their dream.
