Restoration of D&H Canal Company Coach 3
Tax deductible
Welcome to our newest project, the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company Coach #3 built in 1867. It is the oldest narrow gauge coach in the United States and third oldest in the world! A very historically significant railroad car!
We have ownership of the car in central Pennsylvania and its currently stored outdoors. We have recently secured an indoor area for the restoration near the cars current location.
Funds from this campaign will be used to cover continued stabilization of the car, moving costs to our indoor facility and the beginning stages of restoration. We expect to move the car within the next two months.
The Northeast Narrow Gauge Railroad Society is a qualified 501c3 nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax deductible under IRS regulations.
The mission of the society is to restore historic railroad equipment, collect and secure artifacts, photos and documentation and provide educational opportunities and share historical information related to narrow gauge and industrial railroads in the eastern United States.
We welcome your comments and membership.
