Dharmapala Kadampa Buddhist Center

Donate now to help support the growth and development of Dharmapala Kadampa Buddhist Center. We are a Buddhist Meditation Center founded in the New Kadampa Tradition. We strive each day to emanate peace and love throughout the Roanoke Valley and the world we live in. It is our mission to make practical Buddhist teachings and meditation classes available and easily accessible to anyone who desires to hear the teachings and learn how to meditate.
Currently we are searching for a new space for our Center to call home. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are run solely by volunteers, and in order for our Center to continue growing we need your help! Our goal is to raise $10,000-$30,000 to cover the costs of increased rent and/or remodeling costs at a new space. As a non-profit organization, any and all donations, no matter how big or small, can be used as a tax deduction if you itemize on your taxes. If we all work together we can raise the money needed in no time at all. If 500 people donate $20 we will be at $10,000 so please know that any donation, no matter how small will help us reach our goal!!
If you would like to help us in our search for a new space, we are ideally looking for a residential space that has a large room to serve as a space to offer meditations and teachings, or a non-residential space as a place to grow from. We are searching for a space with the following features:
~ kitchen/kitchenette
~an abundance of parking
~easy to find/ high visibility
~handicapped accessible
Currently Dharmapala Center has a budget of $800-$1000 monthly for a rental or lease to own situation. Through meeting our fundraising goal with a successful fundraising campaign we will be able to increase our budget to $1500 monthly.
If you have any ideas and/or questions please email our Adminstrative Director, Ron Gordon, at [email redacted]
