Dhirana Academy of Classical Dance, led by Megha P Rao, Founder & Director, stands out as a leading institution for Indian Classical Dance in North West Arkansas. Our primary focus lies in fostering dance excellence and nurturing student development.

We are reaching out to you to extend your support to our school and students. Founded with the mission of nurturing the young talents of Northwest Arkansas interested in Bharatanatyam, Dhirana Academy strongly emphasizes exposure as a crucial aspect of growth and success. We encourage our students to participate in workshops, attend performances by other artists, and engage in programs and competitions to broaden their horizons.

A significant portion of our students have been under our guidance for 7 to 8 years. Our aim is to imbue them with confidence, stage presence, teamwork, positivity, people skills, and technical expertise from a young age and hence as part of our curriculum, we organize annual showcases like Pradarshana, alternating between Margam and Dance dramas, providing platforms for our students to shine in large-scale productions such as "The Exiled King," "Bala- Tale of Kanha," "TuLA-Balance of life," and more. Continual self-improvement is a cornerstone of our approach to ensure we offer nothing but the best to our students.

Organizing and executing a Dance drama/Dance production entails various expenses, including fees for master artists, training students in various theatrical skills, costumes, makeup, venue rentals, recordings, and music ensembles. Our flagship event, the annual fall showcase Pradarshana, requires substantial financial investment, typically ranging from $17,000 to $20,000. While the parents of our students generously contribute, their support covers only a portion of the expenses, leaving a gap to be filled.
