Rebuilding Life After Home Fire
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Earlier today (January 9th) my family lost our home in an extremely bad fire. While we don’t know the cause yet, we assume that it was an electrical fire as no one was home. We are so absolutely thankful for the Sandown and surrounding towns’ fire departments. Words cannot express how grateful we are for them and everything they do. We are also so thankful for the wonderful neighbors that called in the fire and those who were able to check up on us as it all unfolded.
We’ve lived in Sandown, in that house, for over 26 years. We all have so many fond memories that were made in that home and are so devastated at the moment. Both my sister and I grew up going to Sandown North and Sandown Central, then later to Timberlane Regional Middle and High School. Her and I would spend countless hours outside, playing in the woods in the backyard or riding our bikes up and down the driveway. Every birthday and Christmas held in our living room. Every growth spurt marked on the bathroom doorway. We are so sad to have lost our childhood tapes and recordings, pictures, and mementos in the fire but thankful we are all alive and safe.
I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help alleviate any financial burdens or stresses for my parents that the insurance will not cover (which has yet to be determined) and also to take care of any immediate needs my parents may need (shelter, food, clothes, time off work, etc.). If you know my parents, they are extremely hard workers, working almost every holiday and overtime almost every week in order to make ends meet. I know this would help them tremendously.
All gifts are very much appreciated during these hard times. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts.
