Diabetes and Hypertension Awareness (DHAF)
Diabetes and hypertension are the most common disease in the world and affects people of all socio economic status. These two diseases are silent killer, whereas they can be easily diagnosis early in the course by screening and take measures to keep control preventing early death and disability.
Being a physician I noticed that there is a huge negligence in all types of people paying attention to these debilitating diseases due to its serious symptoms at the beginning. With a mission to early diagnosis and awareness in the rural community, a charitable organization was founded at my village in Tangail, Bangladesh named Diabetes and Hypertension Awareness Foundation (DHAF). DHAF is registered with local Government. Through the foundation, diagnosis and health education was started in a small scale. Due to the huge response from the community, it became essential to expand the program to meet demand.
At this point, building a center to provide screening, health education and most importantly preventive care became an utmost necessity. To execute this program we estimate cost of about $70,000 for building and operating cost $15-17K.
I request you all to please come forward by making donations in DHAF projects and helps the poor community of our beloved motherland. For more information-questions please contact me.
