Andrew's Community Project
Donation protected
For my 8th grade community service project I am going to make blankets for people who are in kidney failure and are on dialysis. I chose to do this to honor my grandfather. My grandfather went through dialysis and when he would come home after a treatment he was always exhausted and feeling very cold. This is because the temperature of the facility is cool to keep the machines working properly. Plus the process of removing and cleaning the blood lowers the body's temperature. I want to help people going through this by offering them the warmth of a homemade double layered fleece blanket. I will use the funds raised to make as many blankets as I can. I will deliver them to the local dialysis facility to be given to the patients. This facility currently serves over 100 patients. My goal is to make 100 blankets and the approximate cost for the materials for each blanket is $15. I will be collecting funds February 19th-March 9 because I need to make the blankets and have them dropped off by March 22, 2018. I would greatly appreciate your donation to help me make this happen for those going through dialysis treatments.
