Diana Chaparro is my niece. She is a very intelligent young lady that graduated from Foley High School and just completed her first year of college with a 4.0 GPA. Diana also celebrated her 20th birthday on July 1st. Diana also received news that no one ever wants to receive: the diagnosis of cancer.
Sadly Diana has thyroid cancer. She had surgery to remove her thyroid gland and the massive tumor that was inside her body. She will have to take medicine for the rest of her life along with the chemotherapy treatments she will receive. Of course her mom and dad are devastated and sad for their daughter. Diana has the intelligence to accomplish what ever she desires in life, but this terrible thing known as cancer is trying to prevent her from achieving her dreams.
Money that her mother and father had saved to pay for her college education had to be used to pay for her surgery and will continue to be used to pay for further medical treatment. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Also prayers will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
