Diana DiMartino's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On the night of Sunday, September 25th, the unthinkable happened. Diana DiMartino, a daughter, a sister, and a mom of two boys, was shot in the head by her boyfriend. The bullet penetrated through her right eye and traveled into her brain. Sadly, Diana’s innocent 4-year-old son had to witness this horrific event that took place. With life-threatening injuries, Diana was quickly airlifted to Dartmouth Medical Center for emergency surgery to remove the bullet fragments from her brain. Due to the massive bleeding and swelling in her brain, a craniectomy was performed on the right side of her head, and a drain was placed. Not only will she require further surgery to remove the remains of her right eye, she also suffered fractures to her face and nose.
As she remains in critical condition, she is making progress. The strength that she has is remarkable! Unfortunately, Diana faces many unknowns. She will have a long road ahead of her and will require intensive treatment and rehab. The horrible actions of her boyfriend have created an unwanted new reality for Diana. She will be faced with numerous and severe deficits, both neurologically and physically. To what extent? We don’t know. But what is known is that Diana and her son will benefit greatly from any donations offered.
Any donations towards supporting Diana and her son would be greatly appreciated.
