My older brother was murdered Saturday, July 14, 2018. Fourteen days after my mother's passing. My brother was 30 years old. He leaves behind two beautiful and brilliant daughters. My brother was my protector. He was the healer and mender of all heartache. His laugh was contagious and he had a heart of gold. He must have gotten it from my mom. Luis loved to help and mentor youth. That was a driving force behind his life. He loved basketball and music. He served his country and did so with honor and pride. His true passion however, were kids. He ensured that if he knew a family was going through a hard time that the children had food, clothes, shoes, school supplies and their basic needs were met. He was an incredibly dedicated and hard working father. My family really needs help and prayers. If you can help us lay both of my loved ones to rest I would greatly appreciate it if that isn't something you can do please pray he and his daughters receive justice
My mother lost her battle with stomach cancer July 14, 2018. She fought a hard battle but the cancer metastasized to her liver, lungs, pancreas, intestines, bones, and lastly her brain. Her time to be with the Lord came at 3 o'clock. I put my stethoscope to the heart of my superhero and heard nothing. I had to tell my Dad the love of his life was gone. I then had to wake my siblings up and let them know. I'm 26. My mom was 57. She was the queen of our home. In the time since her passing I've found myself dialing her number only to hang up. I find myself wanting to ask her things going on with my toddler. I can't. My Mom was my everything. My Mom's last wish was to be taken back home to Panama and be laid to rest next to her parents and younger brother. I just need help to honor my queen.
