Hello Friends!

Are you looking for a way to make a meaningful contribution to the Arts Economy in 2021? Well, no need to look any further. You have found me.

Are you concerned about the fact that these Pandemic Times have hit Performing Artists especially hard : threatening our livelihoods, due to mandated venue and festival closings, and sending our nervous systems into a tizzy over our base survival needs?

If you haven't yet heard about what's been going on with us, The Artists : check out the New York Times article below. TW: It's a pretty grim scene.

A Great Cultural Depression Looms for Legions of Unemployed Performers

And then of course, there has also been our own special battles fought - sometimes lost, sometimes won - on the Unemployment Insurance front. We all have our own epic story. Personally, it took me a full eight weeks after losing 80% of my income to even get on the roster, I was then disqualified in September from receiving my $100/wk, won my appeal in November and now that a Federal subsidy has finally been signed into law, the state agency has conveniently lost any record of my most recent claim. It's been a bit stressful to stay afloat, to say the least.

While the past nine months has been a harrowing journey for everybody, we are definitely not all in the same boat. Navigating uncharted waters in the midst of a tsunami feels different, depending on the vessel you found yourself in at the start of the Odyssey.

I am so very grateful to the friends, family and colleagues who have already offered what monetary support they could, while I have been diligently applying for Relief Funding and trying to wrap my mind around what to do next : so that I may continue to be of service to my community, Create Passionately and Stay True to my Dreams. That's no small feat.

While so much is still up in the air at the beginning of this New Year, this much is clear : I've got to PIVOT. Meaning: I've got to shake it up and change the way I have been used to doing things.

And so, I have committed to investing a considerable amount of time, energy and money in e-commerce business training and programs focused on the intersection of healing trauma and social justice. My goal is to create a platform from which to share my gifts and experience  - safely - and in so doing, assist other Women Artists in the cultivation, development and birth of our healing, creative work.

Together, we will create and sustain a healthy, new and vital Arts Economy : one which brings "from margin to center" a whole New Way of Being with one another's stories. This Dream I Am speaking into being.

I am asking for your financial assistance in this endeavor, friends. As I write this, I have yet to receive my Federal Stimulus, the Unemployment Agency is once again playing games with not just me, there is a very REAL threat out there in the air which makes me think selling what I've got left at even an open air Flea Market may not just be the wisest thing, yet the folks who house, clothe, feed and transport me still do indeed expect their money.

Any amount you can spare is awesome, friends. Every dollar bill adds up to increased dividends.
