Diana Whitmore-Monaco

Hi Everyone. My name is Sarah Whitmore and I am fundraising for the funeral services of my mother, Diana Whitmore-Monaco.

On the evening of Friday December 2nd, Diana passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Branford Hospice. It was her wishes that she did not pass in the hospital but at hospice. Diana was a devoted RN for CT Hospice for over 10 years until her sickness forced her into disability.

Diana was first diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s T-cell lymphoma on December 26th, 2016. She underwent multiple extensive treatments, chemo, stem cell transplants, infections and procedures in the 6 years she caught. She never gave up and we have all seen her suffer day after day. We now know she is out of pain and suffering from this terrible illness that took so much life from her. There was never a time she was alone during her 6 year battle. Her husband Pete Monaco has caught by her side endlessly along with us 3 children and 2 step sons.

Unfortunately, things declined substantially the past 6 months that has put a damper on our families financial situation. All of the funds we receive will be spent on the beautiful Memorial Funeral Services we all hope to give to our beautiful Mother. The support these past 6 years from everyone has been overwhelming. The continuous prayers have helped give my Mom 6 more years of life here on earth. We can never express into words our sincere gratitude. Just know we will forever hold Diana’s memory and spirit in our hearts and daily life. Thank you for every and anything that you can to help support.
