Diana Fight Stage 4 Lung Cancer
Donation protected
Diana's(Bich Phuong) family are in need of your financial support as she battles her recent life threatening diagnosis of stage IV Lung Cancer, Metastases Brain & Spine tumors.
From the family:
For anyone who known our Mom, Diana (Bich Phuong), know this diagnosis came as a huge surprise as she is a very healthy and active woman. Just less than 9 months ago, she experienced her first symptoms of more than usual fatigue and headaches. She took necessary precautions and went to her doctor several times seeking medical attention. She was continuously misdiagnosed as the cancer was spreading, leading to her current state.
Aside from fighting cancer, she is also struggling to save her farm in Mississippi because of unfortunate events that have occurred her to lose income since November. Just a few short months she will no longer have home and lose everything she have built during the past years.
Our mom is the most kind and loving woman you could meet. She's the strongest woman we know along with loyal friend, kindest person whom always give back to her community, help others when they're in need, and always put others in fun & lively mood. We now request the community's help in return during her time of need.
--------
It began with some fatigue & imbalances Diana was experiencing. She visited her doctor for an evaluation and was informed she had high cholesterol.
As she continued to experience heavier fatigue and imbalances, she started having headaches. She continued to visit the doctor more frequently and was then diagnosed with pre-diabetes. She was recommended to adjust her diet as she followed. She returned for follow up and had more blood tests.
She was getting too exhausted that she decided to visit Houston for some blood tests and received no results. Unfortunately most cancers do not show up in blood tests.
Returning to Mississippi she continued to frequently visit her doctor with no additional diagnosis.
Shortly after she started to see double vision. Both her eyes could not work with one another and eventually one eye could not position in place properly.
She visited multiple doctors and not one suggested her to receive any stays or scans.
As her vision worsen, so did her balance. She have fallen multiple times.
She had taken a trip to Belgium/Netherlands where her daughter, Hanh, noticed there was something wrong. After returning home, she decided to admit herself into the ER. After several several weeks of admitting herself into ER and running tests, she was ultimately diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.
By that time Diana was diagnosed, the cancer had spread to her brain with multiple lesions along with her bones.
Surgery was not recommended as the cancer has spread to too many areas and now she's left to deal with the recommended radiation and chemotherapy. She have suffered with spinal pain from the tumor that affects her mobility. Her brain has many lesions and tumors that causes her eyesight to fail. We have applied for many assistances, even disability but she have been denied. We're continuing to seek assistance.
She is only 57 and accomplished so much for herself and others and heavily involved in church. She always put others before herself. Diana is now in need of your help with this financial burden while she focus fighting cancer. The funds will cover majority of her treatment, medical expenses, etc. which her insurance does not fully cover along with help to relocate for treatment. It will help her with some living expenses so she can focus on treatment.
Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance and please keep her in your prayers!
We will update this page about her status as she goes through treatment.
Thank you
