Diane and family need your help!

Hi, my name is Scott and I am fundraising for my sister Diane and her family. Here is my sister's story in her words. Hi, I'm Diane and in August of 2022, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage III. The diagnosis was a complete shock to me and my family. My treatment plan was very aggressive and began almost immediately. I underwent chemotherapy infusions along with external radiation therapy. This was followed by brachytherapy (a form of internal targeted radiation therapy). The medical bills added up so quickly and other expenses related to the treatments it was difficult to unexpectedly manage.

Then hold and wait for the three-month PET/CT scan for follow-up. January 2023 PET/CT scan results showed metastases to lymph nodes and the treatment plan was set for additional chemotherapy, this time different chemo drugs and schedule. This was a devastating additional diagnosis to absorb mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. Worrying about paying medical bills and other associated expenses while maintaining a positive strong attitude to better fight my cancer and the best results for treatment takes its toll. The month of January's medical bills alone is greater than $3,200.00 which is why although a strong independent person, I am asking for help. My updated diagnosis is incurable cervical cancer with lymph node metastases, the last PET/CT scan August 2023 shows small change and growth compared to previous three month scan. This will inevitably change over time and so I am living the best life I can each day and maintaining a positive lifestyle and cherishing relationships.
