Hello my name is Jenny Lane and I am a friend of Di's. I am raising funds for Di to assist her financially, following the passing of her much loved, beautiful daughter Ash.

Over the past few months, Di was unable to work as she supported her daughter Ash, attend medical appointments, investigations and treatment for pancreatic cancer. Ash's husband Daniel and Di stayed by her side in her final weeks at the palliative care unit at Gosford Hospital. Ash's death at 31 years old, just a few months after she married her beloved husband Daniel, is devastating. Ash was Di's world.

Di is a brilliant, kind, compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (specialised Registered Nurse) who works with the discharge planning team at Gosford Hospital.

While Di has been away from her full-time work, the bills have piled up. Di is a single woman so there is no one to share the costs. On top of this, Di really needs some more time off work to recover from this devastating loss, and then ease her way back to work gradually. Unfortunately, Di works in the same place where Ash passed away, so it will take some time for Di to manage to return to work. Di has no more annual or other leave to use to allow herself the time she needs.

So the purpose of this money is to pay Di's mortgage and other bills/living expenses, to allow her more time off work, then slowly return to full time work as she is able to manage.
