Diane Ladner recovery

My name is Chrisandra Bayne. My mom is Diane Ladner.

On December 12 my mom was out for a morning walk. At the same time a 19 year old student, who stayed up all night studying for finals, fell asleep while driving. While asleep the girl hit my mother as she was crossing the road.

My mom was taken to Vanderbilt in Nashville, where she is currently in the trauma icu. She is currently considered stable, all things considered, but she has multiple extensive surgeries ahead of her. Her recovery will be extremely long and complex.

Several people have reached out asking about sending flowers or cards, unfortunately she cannot receive either at the time. Both her and Lenny will be out of work for sometime while my mom is recovering. I’m asking that if you would like to send some kind of support to show my mom that she is in your thoughts, that you consider sending a few dollars to help her and Lenny not have to worry as much financially as they navigate through this horrible accident. There is no short term disability or anything like that to help them pay their bills.

If you know my mom, you know that she has such a positive, happy personality. She would give you her last dollar if you needed it but would never ask anyone for help in return.
