Diane Marie O'Connell Memorial Fund

Donation protected
The beloved Diane Marie O'Connell, age 64, unexpectedly passed on April 13th, 2021 at her Providence, RI home.  Diane was a cherished mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt who touched the lives of those around her immensely.

Diane dedicated her life to her family and friends as well as her Women's Bible Study at the Renaissance Church in Providence, RI.  Born in Boston, MA on January 20th 1957, Diane was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Maloney) Powers.  She was raised in Walpole, MA and later made her home in Seekonk, Massachusetts with her beautiful family.

She is survived by her children Gregory D. O'Connell of Newton, Kevin W. O'Connell of Newton, Cory A. Chudleigh and her husband, James, of Austin Texas, and former husband William J. "Okie" O'Connell of Norwood, as well as her adored grandchildren Abigail, Ava, Adriana, Painter, and Charli.  Additionally, she leaves behind her siblings, Paul Powers and his wife, Maureen, of Easton, David Powers and his wife Patti, of Plainville, Judith Gilberson and her husband, Scott, of Marshfield, Timothy Powers and his wife, Mary, of Mansfield, and Maureen Martone and her husband, Jeff, of Tennessee.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

We are all devastated by the family's loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Diane the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.

On behalf of the O'Connell family, we are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Diane’s memorial. Our goal is to raise $7,000 in order to alleviate some of the financial burden for the family and allow them the time to grieve their great loss.

Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the celebration of Diane's life on Sunday, April 25th, 2021 from 2-5pm at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home located at 48 Common St. in Walpole, Massachusetts.  A memorial service will be planned for the summer of 2021 in Rhode Island for all of the loved ones who are not able to make the initial ceremony.

Thank you for your continued support of the O'Connell family during this tragic time.
