Diane O Brien Memorial Fund

In aid of Milford Care Centre
Our sister Diane passed away on December 20th 2020 after a short battle with cancer. She was 41 years old and leaves behind 4 children.
Diane was a highly active community member who was heavily involved in her local school and was a major proponent of education as a way out of poverty.
Diane had no symptoms she knew about until one day in August when she felt pain in her abdomen. After some testing, Diane was diagnosed with colon cancer and on the day of her birthday when she turned 41, she was also told she was terminal and nothing could be done.
Diane tried to remain positive and held firm to her belief that she would beat the disease, alas, on December 20th her fight came to an end and she died, peacefully, after a 10 day stay in Milford Care Centre, she was surrounded by her family and left this world as she entered, loved unconditionally.
The team in Milford Care Centre did an exceptional job and made Diane feel safe and comfortable the whole way through, they accommodated her family too as best they could given the difficulties of Covid-19 restrictions.
This fundraiser will the the main destination for donations for our activities throughout 2021, as a family we have decided to hold a number of events to raise money to donate to Milford Care Centre. 100% of funds raised will go directly to Milford Care Centre in Dianes name.
Any donations are greatly appreciated.
