Diane Scharpf's Memorial and Family Support Fund

We are now using this page to give people a place to support us in our efforts to repair our home and transition Dennis to a safer environment.

Diane Louise Scharpf, formerly Bortnick, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on March 31st 2024, Easter Sunday.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Scharpf, her boys Michael and Carl Scharpf, her brother Jim Bortnick, and an entire generation of neighborhood children that she lovingly helped raise.

Diane dedicated her life in loving service of others. She spent over four decades of her life working in healthcare and assisting those most in need.

Unfortunately, grinding away at this career took a huge toll on her body, and she was left with many health conditions and had to retire early. Shortly after this, Dennis experienced several strokes that left him unable to continue working as well.

The combined medical debt from both of their health issues depleted my parent’s savings and left them with very little.

If you are willing and able, we welcome any assistance you can provide in helping covering funeral and memorial costs for my mom.

Anything raised in excess of the costs will be dedicated to a donation made in her name.
