Mother, Wife, Sister, Best Friend, Caretaker.

Loved unconditionally.

We would first like to thank all of you that have expressed well wishes and prayers for Diane. This is a battle that we have never encountered before. We are calling for prayers from all the prayer warriors we know, along with many we don’t know. We want to express our thanks to all. Please keep praying. We are fighting a battle in spirit as well as emotionally and the obvious, physically.

In early April of this year 2015, Diane, was having some numbness in her lip and cheek that quickly progressed to her left hand and fingers (now her entire left arm).

The family and extended family was in progess of caring for Diane's father Rodney Shogren who was laid to rest on April 22nd, 2015 and also planning the final details for the April 25th, 2015 Wedding of Diane's oldest daughter and  new son-in law.

The diagnosis is a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumor in Diane's Right Frontal Lobe.

You can read more about this tumor here: http://www.abta.org/brain-tumor-information/types-of-tumors/glioblastoma.html

We are now  planning to make memories that will last a lifetime in a short amount of time. Family, love, relationships, people are everything in life. Dont take anything for granted.

On Tuesday May 12th, Diane began her Radiation treatment and Chemotherapy  at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She receives Radiation treatment every M-F . Chemo is taken daily Sunday through Saturday in pill form, simultaneously with radiation.

Diane typically travels home to North Branch on the weekends to rest Friday nights through Sunday afternoons.

Her last Radiation treatment (at this time) is set for 11:45am at the Rochester Mayo Clinic - Carlton Building Desk R at 11:45am.

In the meantime, Diane will have to endure continuous MRI check ups and additional care conferences with a slew of doctors throughout each week.

Expenses that accrue come from not working, family members taking time away from work, traveling to and from appointments for the next 6 months, parking , medical bills, food in Rochester, daily living expenses, etc.

We are praying for miracles.
