Dianna Elliott - Parrott Medical Fund

My name is Heidi Boldon, and I am Dianna's Cousin. I am working with Tammy Parrott, Dianna's sister-in-law, with this fundraiser to help relieve some of her pain.
Dianna discovered a lump in her breast in May of 2022. She made a doctor's appointment and soon found she had breast cancer. After testing, she was told she had stage 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer, which is very aggressive, and she needed to start chemotherapy immediately. Her life quickly changed in one doctor visit.
The following Friday, she began weekly chemotherapy. This chemo treatment is needed weekly for 26 weeks. This treatment she receives on Fridays makes Dianna very Ill, fatigued every weekend. This means her family she used to visit often for weekend getaways, which she can no longer do.
June started out okay; things were going as planned, and Dianna was feeling positive. However, at the end of June, Dianna went for additional testing and Ultrasounds and discovered a Blood Clot in her neck near her Pic Line. As a result, she is on blood thinners and is monitored closely to prevent more blood clots.
July bought a few more challenges as she lost her appetite, and it was difficult for her to eat. This caused the doctors to be concerned about her quick weight loss. As a result, the doctors did more testing as excepted as her treatment was underway. Dianna received a new medical diagnosis of a fatty liver cyst and a thyroid mass that will be montitored but not treated at this time. This left Dianna with more challenges, but she remained optimistic.
August has been the most challenging for Dianna. Dianna's blood counts and platelet levels have been low. In addition, she has had increased chemo side effects, and the days following treatment have been more difficult. Towards the end of August, Dianna received another life-changing phone call from her brother that said her dad had passed away unexpectedly. This news was devastating and heartbreaking. In the days following, Dianna began the experience difficulty breathing and chest pain. This episode caused a hospital stay to treat symptoms and monitor her further complications. She has been released from the hospital with a diagnosis of Pleurisy. With treatment in about a week, she was feeling better.
This past summer Dianna has endured more than any one person should bear. Yet, Dianna has a positive, compassionate, gentle, fun-loving spirit that continues to shine even in her darkest days. She loves her family, gardening, hiking on nature trails and capturing her special moments on her camera. These special moments are becoming more difficult for her to do as the progress of treatment, but she remains positive during these unbearably trying times.
As a family, they are starting to feel the financial impact. Besides the treatments that are 45 minutes away, doctors' appointments and daily living expenses, their septic system needs to get replaced ASAP. Covid hit them financially; she could not make the extra money like she used to, and they went through their savings quickly. This summer, more money is going out than in. The medical bills have started coming in. We all know daily expenses are continuing to rise; with all the medical bills, travel expenses and septic problems that can't be postponed, We can not think of a person that needs our help more than Dianna. Please help Dianna and her family with the financial burden so she can focus on her health and the heartbreaking grief she is experiencing. She is genuinely grateful for the love and support she is receiving. Let's help her kick cancer's ass!
