Dianne Bell's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Background

At 11 pm on Monday, August 22nd, Dianne had a headache and nausea. Having a history of migraines, the family assumed she was having another migraine attack. The next day (August 23rd) the headache was still there so she took a nap in the afternoon, thinking she would sleep it off. Several hours later, at 5 pm, her family checked on her and discovered her non-responsive with one side of her face drooping. They immediately called 911 and she was transported by ambulance to the emergency room where she nearly went into cardiac arrest.

For days, Dianne was in the ICU, intubated and sedated. Her heart rate was dangerously low (dropping to 32 at one point) and an MRI revealed she had suffered a series of mini strokes. The neurologist and cardiologist suspected plaque had traveled from her heart to her brain, inducing the strokes. After installing a temporary pacemaker, the cardiology team decided it was imperative to install a permanent one, which was done on Monday the 29th.

After an entire week in the ICU, Dianne was moved into a regular hospital room on Tuesday, August 30th. She went home on September 2nd, but will need continued physical therapy, monitoring, medication, and follow-up.

Why We Need Your Help

Dianne's husband, Cliff Bell, works in full-time ministry serving primarily Mexico and South America. Dianne serves as treasurer for the ministry. As a missionary family, they live off of love offerings and donations. If no donations come in, they don't take a salary. Therefore Dianne, unfortunately, had no medical insurance.

After a week in the ICU, and several days in the hospital, their medical bills have quickly skyrocketed to over $200,000! All avenues have been searched to get help for these expenses, but nothing has panned out to eliminate or reduce these costs.

About Dianne

Dianne is one of the most nurturing women ever. In her 20's, she worked as a special education teacher, doing home visits and working in the classroom. She advocated for parents and children in the school systems, ensuring their voice was heard. She changed diapers and Kotex, wiped faces and bottoms, treating everyone with dignity and loving them the way all God's people ought to be loved -- unconditionally.

After having her first child, Angela, she quit teaching to be a full-time stay-at-home mom. She has four children, and for a time, also raised their two cousins – plus she homeschooled all six of them. Just as she poured her heart into being a teacher, she poured everything she had into being a homeschool mom, despite living with chronic pain due to arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Please Give!

Dianne has spent her whole life giving to others and now we are asking for others to help her. The family is living under the realm of financial debt that is unfathomable! We have known this family for years and they are one of the most God fearing, generous, kindest families we have ever known. Due to their own trials at present, that are taking every spare moment, we are doing this Go Fund Me with their full blessing and support. Every penny of the proceeds will be used to pay medical debt. And all the family members will promote this initiative on their social media platforms. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Cliff Bell, or leave a message here.

Thank you so much for your generosity in helping them through this challenging time! May God bless you!
