Injustice To Children In Didcot, Oxfordshire

Vulnerable children are being left abandoned in Oxfordshire. Authorities are failing families, parents are being pushed into a financial and emotional crisis, and children are suffering in silence.

 

My son has been out of school for 6 months and fell into depression. He was completely cut off from his friends, teachers, and all social activities, he wasn't allowed to finish Year 7, and he was left abandoned with no full-time education by his secondary school. His crime? He needs extra support with his mental health.

What is shocking and unbelievable, is this mistreatment, discrimination, and injustice is happening to at least 20 other children in the area. My fear is that this is much higher. Many of them are diagnosed with special educational needs such as autism or like my son, victims of domestic abuse.

 

I tried to fight the system every single day for the last 6 months, I have contacted my local MP, went down every formal procedure possible, senior leaders at the academy school, council, and social services are fully aware of what is happening but no one is intervening or protecting these kids.

 

Unfortunately, many of these children will now be out of education for years and could slip into gang life, develop severe depression, and feel they have no prospects in life. Here is a list of some families that have already been failed by the system in Didcot, Oxfordshire

I am now fundraising to start a not-for-profit called 'Oxford Creators' where a new reality will be created for these vulnerable children. We will teach communication skills, networking, introduce them to the world of work in an exciting way, bring in inspirational speakers, team up with local businesses and show them that they matter.

 

 

This initial fundraiser will provide funding for setting up the not-for-profit, admin / website costs, a computer the kids can use, and resources to start working with some of these children immediately. As you're reading this, many of these young people are at home with no access to peers or any form of education.

 

No matter what happens with this fundraiser, I am determined to change the lives of these children. They do not deserve this. I hope someone can help me to help them.
