Help Rebuild Our Lives After the Gaza City War Tragedy

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are the AlKahlout family from the northern Gaza Strip, a family of 20, and we have been living in the “Beit Lahia Project” for decades. One of the most famous things we are known for is the establishment of the “Al-Manar Studio”, a photography and editing studio that includes offices to coordinate the companies and festivals throughout the Gaza Strip.

In an instant, our home was reduced to rubble, my beloved brother was taken from us,

and my young nephew was severely injured, suffering brain damage that will affect him for the rest of his life.

We are a family of 20 members, including brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, and granddaughters. The required amount of money is desperately needed to support all of us.

Our lives have been shattered, and it feels as if the ground has been pulled out from under us. We have lost not just our home and possessions, but also the laughter, security, and love that once filled our days. Adding to our sorrow, our wonderful photography studio, known and loved by the whole area, has been turned to dust by the war.

To make matters worse, our family has been separated, with each of my brothers now living in different places, further straining our emotional and financial resources. As we try to pick up the pieces and move forward, we are faced with overwhelming emotional and financial burdens.

Why We Need Your Help

1. Rebuilding Our Home: Our house, the heart of our family, is gone. We desperately need funds to find a new place to live and start the rebuilding process.

2. Basic Necessities: Everything we owned has been destroyed. We need help to replace essential items like clothing, furniture, and household goods.

3. Medical and Psychological Support: The trauma of losing my brother, our home, and seeing my nephew suffer from his injuries has left deep scars. We need extensive medical and psychological support to heal.

4. Long-Term Care for My Nephew: My nephew’s brain damage requires ongoing medical treatment, therapies, and special care. Ensuring he has the best possible quality of life is one of our top priorities.

5. Education: Despite these tragedies, we are determined to continue our education. We need support to make this possible amidst the chaos.

6. Rebuilding Our Photography Studio: Our studio was more than just a business; it was a source of pride and a cherished part of our community. Funds are also needed to help us rebuild this important part of our lives and livelihoods.
