Digging Deep for Denise

I am Donna, a good friend of Denise and Jill. I am fundraising for Denise Allen's medical expenses.

Denise Allen is a dear friend of ours. Jill and Denise met over 30 years ago in Atlanta, GA, while working in the same office building. They solidified their friendship by reconnecting in 2020.

Shortly after that, Denise was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is aggressive cancer that can grow and spread quickly. At that time, Denise was treated with chemo and radiation. It was good news, and she was living cancer free until recently.

In August 2022, Denise noticed a lump in her lower neck. On October 29, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer. Cancer has spread, and we said, "NO! God, NO!"

Denise loves to read, paint with acrylics, hike, take walks on the beach, which is her haven, visit museums, spend time with friends and family and, especially, with her adult son, Dustin. She has a beautiful southern accent that matches her outer beauty and smile. Her laugh is infectious. Her inner beauty is that she is genuine, kind, loving and caring. She has dreams and hopes for her future and is not ready to throw in the towel by any stretch of the imagination. She is a strong, brave, courageous woman.

With research and Denise doing her due diligence, the treatment, this time, will be specifically compounded to be as effective in treating her specific cancer as it can be. The one size that fits most is not her choice this time. I am an RN; I support Denise in her excellent treatment choice. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover this treatment.

Now, we must move quickly with raising money for her treatment because it needs to begin ASAP.
