Digital Warfare, Short Film
Logline: When two lazy sisters argue about whose turn it is to replenish the snacks, they are transported to a fantastical boxing ring to duke it out over a thumb wrestling match.
Collaboration is the magic behind every film. We’re incredibly proud of our production team and thrilled to continue building the cast and crew. We’re thrilled to have a women-led production team and excited to introduce you to our producers.
Steph Farber:
Steph Farber is a Seattle-based filmmaker. After several years of working in the health tech industry, she decided to roll up her sleeves and start making movies. In 2018, she wrote, directed, and produced her debut film, Smokescreen , which won Best in Show at SPLIFF film festival before touring the festival circuit. A few months later she co-wrote, directed and produced a second short film, What Carrie Saw, for the Seattle Horror 48 Hour Film Fest. She has several championship belts from the Pun Intended Pun Slam at Peddler Brewing.
Steph believes wholeheartedly in the connections we form with and through media. She believes the world will be more fun and less lonely when queer joy is not an anomaly and strives to create stories centered around women and queer characters. She received a B.A. in English from Tufts University.
Madeline Down:
Madeline Down is a two-time Emmy-award-winning Producer out of Seattle, WA. She found her love for production in an edit bay at the University of Washington and now co-leads the Video Production Department at the Seattle Seahawks. At the Seahawks, her role is leading the Feature side of the video presence – which includes more longform and creative work. Outside of the day-to-day pre and postproduction, Madeline also directs the live in-game show for the Seahawks at Lumen Field.
When not prematurely aging with the last-minute Seahawks wins, Madeline enjoys honing her talents in the film space. She’s currently writing a feature film in conjunction with MindRiot Entertainment, directing another local short film, Inner Child, and developing a docuseries. This past summer, she worked as the Assistant Camera on the Oscar-qualified film, Desmond’s Not Here Anymore.
When she’s not working, Madeline can be found snuggling her dog or with her family & friends (often both at once).
Marissa Fujimoto:
Marissa Fujimoto is fully engaged in the film, video and production process. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Sanford-Brown College, specializing in digital media. Her post-production work is most notable on shows such as “Hoarders” and “Project Afterlife”. Additionally, she has produced local “48 hours” films, earning her the Real Grrls Outstanding Producer Award in 2015. In 2021, Marissa produced another Hollyshort’s original short film, and Oscar qualified, “Desmond’s Not Here Anymore”, directed by Mmabatho Montosh.
This was her fifth short film to make it to Hollywood and going on her fifth year under her production company Slager Fuj Creative Media which offers film, video, and design services.

Sara Hanneman:
Sara is currently an associate production coordinator for Paramount, working on a variety of shows across VH1 and MTV. She’s worked on multiple shorter productions, including as a production coordinator for the S19 Project Runway finale and AD for the Horror 48 film “What Carrie Saw.”
Before her production career (and still sometimes on the side) she spent 8 years in management consulting, working with top technology companies to drive global sales initiatives, craft impactful marketing, and build collaboration between teams.
When she’s not wrestling a show budget, you can find her teaching kiddos to ski up at Snoqualmie Pass, listening to endless podcasts, walking around her Greenlake neighborhood, or betting on Bachelor fantasy leagues.
