Dimes for Deana to Battle Leukemia

Donation protected
My name is Ric and I am trying to raise funds to help with the bills associated with my lovely wife's Battle with Leukemia.  Married for almost 28 years, she has been my best friend for over 30.  I could not have imagined a day without her as part of it.  Sadly my wife lost her fight with this terrible disease.  We laid her to rest yesterday and are working to pick up the pieces of our lives.  The photo you see was taken shortly after her diagnosis where we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary in her hospital room.  My kids and I had to wear yellow gowns, laytex gloves, and face masks just to see her.
Deana was diagnosed in October of 2015 and our world changed.  She passed away on August 25th with every bit of fight she had in her.  She had gone through 5 rounds of Chemotherapy, a Bone Marrow transplant, 2 bouts of Graft vs. Host, and a mild round of Chemo to hold back the relapse while we awaited her to be strong enough to go back to Boston for continued treatment.  Sadly we did not make it to that point.
Our loving son was selected to be the donor for my wife's Bone Marrow transplant and is a true hero.  Our beautiful daughter gathered all her inner strength and graduated high school a year early.  She also completed a challenging dental assisting program and was recognized by her instructors for outstanding academic achievement.  My family has shown incredible strength in the face of adversity and as a former Soldier and Airman, I marvel at their toughness.

We have 2 kids and a puppy that keeps us smiling through the tough times.  Sadly we lost our long time dog and friend to cancer as my wife was fighting her own battle.  This photo was their reunion after over 2 months.  Deana had to cover up from head to toe to avoid being scratched which could have put her back into the hospital.

Sadly my wife has relapsed 4 months after her transplant, and was not strong enough to survive the continued fight.  During this battle the debt has piled on from a variety of medical expenses, both here in Vermont and at Dana Farber in Boston.  On top of the debt from her fight, these is now the added strain of the debt now with the funeral home.  I know we are asking for a lot to help and there is no way to thank you all enough for anything you are able to provide to support our struggle.  I can only ask that we take it one dime at a time, but feel free to share as many dimes as you can spare. This photo was taken following her victory over Thyroid Cancer in 2006.

Proud Family at our daughters graduation from Dental Assisting School.  Mom was able to come out for the first time in 100 days to celebrate with our baby girl.
