Special needs life tragically taken by hit and run

In our deepest sorrow, we remember Dimitric Dryden-Danzy, a remarkable soul with Down's syndrome who faced life's toughest challenges with unwavering determination. On September 10, 2023, a careless driver in a red pickup truck tragically took him from us. It's a story of triumph over adversity, shattered by a thoughtless act.

Di, as we fondly called him, was a true fighter. He endured multiple surgeries, including open-heart procedures, battled seizures, and faced other medical hurdles. Through it all, his spirit remained unbreakable. He was an inspiration, always radiating happiness, laughter, and an unstoppable drive to be normal.

Di never saw a stranger; he embraced everyone he met. On that fateful night, as he walked to a nearby store, the red pickup truck struck him on Dixie Hwy around 9 pm, leaving us heartbroken. We will miss him laughing, telling jokes, his imaginary stories, him saying “I love you” , “can have a dollar?”, him dancing, and rapping, and all the girlfriends. Di is a true angel that will be greatly missed.
