We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dimitrios Georgiadis. Dimitri battled Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a lung disease he fought for several years, and that resulted in him spending the past several months at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia fighting for his life. He made every effort to get back to this family, but sadly lost his courageous battle on October 4th.
Dimitri leaves behind his loving wife, Eleni who traveled back and forth to be both with her husband and home for their two young sons, Niko and Kosta. Dimitri lived for his wife and sons and believed in "family first". Dimitri shared his love for the outdoors and for hunting and fishing with his son, Kosta. He was equally dedicated to his son Niko, volunteering as a coach for Syracuse Challenger baseball team, and encouraging his love of basketball. He loved his family with all his heart and valued spending time with his family!
The Georgiadis family are devout Orthodox Christians and attend services at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church in Syracuse. They are an extraordinary family, with a steadfast caring spirit.
The love and support the family has felt is tremendous. Thank you for that continued love.
For those who are interested and able, this is a memorial fund setup to help with funeral and unexpected family expenses during this time.
