MEALS for Washtenaw's food insecure kids

UPDATE 3.18.20: With the intention of continuing this for a month, we are increasing the goal to $6000. After shopping and cooking for two days, we've found that the food cost per day for 200 kids approximately $350-400 per day.
One in 4 kids in Washtenaw County is food insecure. During times like this CoVid emergency, these needs remain and sometimes intensify. The pick-up public school lunches are one solution, but it now requires others with means to pitch in.
As a group of women food entrepreneurs, (Allison from Last Bite LLC , Lilian from Sprouting Chefs , and others) we're committed to using our resources and connections to getting food into these hungry bellies. We are partnering with CAN (Community Action Network ) to make and deliver prepackaged meals to their communities. We're willing to work for free and have kitchen and utility costs covered with the help of Westminster Presbyterian Church, but need help with our food costs.
Please consider donating and giving just a little bit to feed those who are less fortunate.
