August 9th, 2023

Dion is a happy healthy active 11 year old kid that loves to play football. On June 3rd, 2023 Dion was in the car with his mother and siblings headed to his uncles’ house to have pizza and s’mores. When they arrived Dion was panicking that something was wrong and couldn’t move the right side of his body. His mother tried to get him out of the car but had difficulty and realized something was wrong. His dad came to help get him out of the car and he was taken to the hospital. Later that night Dion was airlifted to Mott’s children’s hospital after finding Dion’s brain was bleeding. After arriving at Mott’s they did additional scans and determined that Dion was born with a cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation “AVM” and it had ruptured. Dion is in critical condition but currently stable. The surgeon placed a drain tube in his head for spinal fluid to drain to decrease pressure and allow additional room for swelling. Dion has a very long road of treatment ahead of him including brain surgery, extensive physical therapy, and occupational therapy. As of right now Jennifer (Dion’s mother) has not been able to work because she does not want to leave Dion’s side as his condition is ever changing at the moment. We are asking for help so Jennifer can continue to help Dion as it is going to be a very long recovery process. Jennifer also has 3 other children that are in her care and a brand new grand baby born just a few days after Dion was hospitalized. Please help Jennifer help her son thank you all so much for the prayers , please keep them coming
